The CCA holds a 1.5 hr rehearsal every Monday morning and performs at least once/week at venues all around the Greater Sacramento region. The performances usually last for ~1 hour and consist of an opening song, four sets of ~ five songs with a special solo in between sets, and two closing songs. The usual programs performed change every month. (Refer to the list on the right of this page.) The CCA can also tailor the program length and songs to be performed for special events when given sufficient notice. The CCA is a 'sing-along' chorus & band consisting of volunteers of the Sons In Retirement (SIR), an organization for retired gentlemen, and have been delighting audiences since 1972 with the music and songs they remember. As of 8/1/2023 the CCA's 'home' Branch is SIR Branch #102 in Carmichael, but the CCA consists of members who are also members of other SIR branches. The songs performed by the CCA are set each month by our Director in coordination with the CCA Pianist and are usually changed monthly to fit the season.
